Albert Kaufman, age 92, of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Bradenton, Florida, passed away on Monday, Sept. 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his son's home in Hillsboro.
He was born on April 21, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Louis Kaufman and Stella (O'Neil) Kaufman Zeigler. Albert was raised in the Catholic faith and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for 35 years as an elevator constructor, dedicating his skills and hard work to his trade.
A true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Albert enjoyed cheering for his team each season. He found joy in the outdoors, especially deer, pheasant, and dove hunting, and he loved spending time on the golf course with his son, Michael. Above all, Albert cherished his family and the moments they shared together. His love, guidance, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Albert is survived by two sons, Mike (Connie) Kaufman of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Kurt (Laura) Kaufman of Youngstown, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Kaufman, Lindsay Okert, Brady (Sara Bowles) Weber, Daniel (Gabrielle) Weber, Dalton Weber, and Michael (Mckinsey Sellman) Kaufman, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryleigh, Paisley, Carter, Desirae, Tellulah, Denver, and his best friend, Mike Fick of Bradenton, Florida and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Kaufman; a son, Jeffrey Kaufman; and siblings, Annamae, Ray, Dick, Chuck, and Bob.
A celebration of Albert's life will be held at a later date and burial will take place in the Skyway Memorial Gardens in Florida. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
