Beverly Jane Wise, age 87, of Greenfield, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.
She was born on May 3, 1938, in Highland County, Ohio, the daughter of Herman and Mary (McCall) Foraker.
She was a 1956 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School, where she was a proud member of the marching band. She was a member of the Greenfield First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Group.
She retired after 35 years of service as the office manager at Standard Oil/BP in Peebles.
She is survived by two sons, Steve (Sheryl) Wise of Greenfield, Alan L. (Jessica) Wise of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Eric (Miranda), Craig (Kayla), Brian (Shira), Jennifer (Rocky) and Bethany; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Friedenmaker of Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. "Bob" Wise, on Nov. 8, 2009; three brothers, Gene, Harold, and Leroy Foraker; one sister, Josephine Stephens; and both parents.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Monday, September 29, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Armstrong officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Beaver Cemetery of Hillsboro.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 405 South Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
