Send FlowersCatherine Mary Hayes Helton Sader, age 88 of Hillsboro, died peacefully on July 4, 202,5 in Lexington, SC.
She was born Nov. 8, 1936, in Norwood, OH, the daughter of the late Norman Clarence and Mary Crowley Hayes.
Cathy had been an administrative assistant for many years and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
She was an avid bowler and volunteered at the Highland District Hospital.
She is survived by five children, David Helton of Milwaukee, WI, Diane Beckett of Lexington, SC, Elaine (Tom) Lorinczi of Schaumburg, IL, Ellen Helton of Hillsboro, Lia Sader of Franklin, WI; six grandchildren, Robert (Yukiko) Helton, Steven (Danielle) Helton, Kyle (Alison) Beckett, Sean Beckett, Quinten (Perla) Lorinczi, Erin (Nathan) Haist; twelve great-grandchildren, Roy, Emma, Charlotte, Davis, Callan, Isabella, Edward, Connor, Aileen, Stefan, Kai, and Lily; as well as many friends in Wisconsin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Helton; her second husband, Florian I. Sader; four brothers, Norman, Patrick, John, and Daniel Hayes; and two sisters, Margaret Wagner and Theresa Truesdell.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Father Michael Paraniuk will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A luncheon will immediately follow services at the St. Mary Catholic Church fellowship hall.
