Dixie Thompson, 63, of Chillicothe, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 15, 2015 at Signature Health Care of Chillicothe.
She was born June 20, 1952, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Columbus "Lum" and Ethel "Nora" King Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charles Thompson, whom she married April 2, 1982 in Columbus.
She is also survived by her stepfather, Ollie Jenkins; her stepmother Pat Jenkins; two sons, Eddie (Karn) Newell and Donnie (Sue) Newell; a special "daughter," Stephanie Sands; two stepdaughters, Bonnie (Mike) Thompson and Traci (Coy) Andrus; two sisters, Bonnie Trimble and Myrtle Jenkins; two stepbrothers, Mike and Rick; two sisters-in-law, Rosemary and Anna; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth, Denny and Donnie Jenkins; and sisters, Kathleen and Imogene.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor David Stulley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Carmel Church of God Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at the funeral home.
