Edward Fizer Obituary
Edward A. "Eddie" Fizer, 56, of Sabina, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 at Tennova Medical Center, LaFollette, Tenn.
His wife, Pam Fizer, survives. They were married Aug. 15, 1981.
Mr. Fizer was born Jan. 2, 1962 in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Ralph Fizer Sr. and Ida M. Snyder Fizer of Hillsboro.
He was a 1980 graduate of Wilmington High School. Mr. Fizer retired in November 2014 after a 28-year career with the Clinton County Sheriff's Office. During his career he served as a patrol deputy, sergeant and lieutenant. He was currently employed by the City of Wilmington Parks & Recreation. He loved camping, hunting, riding ATVs and NASCAR. Most importantly though, he was a devoted family man.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Fizer is survived by two daughters, Sarah (Gary Smith) Fizer of Wilmington and Ashley (Eli) Kenney of Sabina; two brothers, Ralph (Judi) Fizer Jr. of Wilmington and L. David (Renee) Fizer of Hillsboro; two sisters, Carol Hopkins of Wilmington and Denise (Michael) Banks of Carlisle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 at Bible Baptist Church, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, with pastor Bryson Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5211 Madison Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45227; or Wilmington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 968, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.

Theresa and I are so sad to hear of Eddie passing. our prayers and thoughts are with the entire Fizer family. My memories go back to the family bakery days and then as a fellow law enforcement officer. He was a good man, and he will be missed.

Saddened to hear of Eddie's unexpected passing. I am praying for all his family, and the CCSO family. I had several spiritual conversations with him while serving as chaplain, and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

My heartfelt condolences to all the Fizer family. I knew Eddie when he was a teen working in his Dad and Mom's bakery. I also followed his career through law enforcement. Time has went by too quickly. It's hard to believe that he's gone home to be with the Lord. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about Eddie's death. I worked with him in the bakery at Bob & Carl's in Wilmington. He always had a smile on his face. My prayers go out to the entire Fizer family.we have all lost a great man.
