Kenneth Gene Bond, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield, Ohio. Born on April 30, 1934, in Fruitdale, he was the son of the late Marjorie (Kennett) and Myron Bond.
Kenny was a 1952 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. Following his education, he served honorably in the United States Navy, dedicating 4 active-duty years to his country during the Korean conflict. After his military service, Kenny embarked on a successful career at Armco in Washington Courthouse, from which he eventually retired. He was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge and was honored with a 50-year membership certificate for his commitment to the Mystic Shrine.
A man of many talents, Kenny was particularly known for his exceptional skills in woodworking. His creations, renowned for their realism and artistry, have become treasured gifts among family and friends. He will be remembered for his moonshine cherries, love of sports, craftsmanship, and dedication to his family.
Kenny is survived by his children: Dennis G. Bond and his wife Debbie of Greenfield, Craig A. Bond and his partner Donna Nartker of Greenfield, and his daughter Lisa A. Bond of Bainbridge. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Angela Weller, Katy Storts, Craig Bond Jr., Jason Bond, and Aschli Bond, along with numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Betty J. Bond, his parents, and his sister, Louann Rayburn.
In accordance with his family's wishes, a private funeral service will be held at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Kenny will be laid to rest in the Greenfield Cemetery where military rites will be provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.

Kenny was a fantastic man. Worked with him at Armco and will miss him at our annual Armco reunion. My thoughts and prayers are with Dennis and the rest of the family.
