Robert L. Luman, 72, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 at Christ Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 27, 1946 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Robert Earl Luman and Dorothy Jane Fenner Luman, who survives.
Bob worked over 30 years for Chessie System/CSX Railroad and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Luman, whom he married Feb. 26, 1975; two sons, Jim (Christy) Luman and Tom (Angel) Luman; six grandchildren, Chelsea (Derek) Luman, Tyler Luman, Brittany (Cody Hall) Luman, Michaela (Matt Lodwick) Luman, Robbie Luman and Ashley Luman; and five great-grandsons, Hunter, Layne, Zane, Blake, and soon to be born Landen. Other survivors are brother-in-law, Duane (Glenda) Beath; sister-in-law, Teresa Luman; and nieces and nephews, Niki, Holly, Duane, Josh and Preston.
In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Dean Lumanand Richard Earl Luman; and a daughter, Mary Jane Luman.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 with Jerry Niver officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery where the Highland County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors. The family requests that everyone in attendance dress casual.
Friends will be received at funeral home Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
