Beverly Peck Obituary

Beverly Joy (Connelly) Peck August 15, 1949 - March 18, 2023 Born in Norristown, PA on August 15, 1949, "Bev" was the daughter of the late Richard K. Connelly and Laura V. (Rodenbaugh) Connelly, formerly of Conshohocken, PA and Ocean View, Delaware. She grew up in Conshohocken, PA and was a resident of Audubon, PA since 1991. Bev attended Conshohocken High School and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, graduating in 1967. She also attended Montgomery County Community College, Gwynedd Mercy College, and Antonelli Institute of Interior Design. Beverly was self-employed as an interior designer until retiring in 2000. She was also the founder of a local Red Hat Society chapter known as the Crimson Birds of Audubon. Bev is survived by her husband, H. Allen Peck III of Audubon, PA, by her son Duane A. Peck and daughter-in-law Kimberly R. (Scatchard) Peck, and by her beloved grandchildren Andrew, Owen, and Elise Peck of Phoenixville, PA, as well as her sisters Sharon L. Brown of Rehoboth, Delaware, and Barbara L. Connelly, of Rotonda West, Florida. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Pamela A. Maslin, wife of Charles of N. Fort Myers, Florida, and Karen L. Dunlap, wife of Thomas, from Telford, PA, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her family is also thankful for the years of care and support provided by their close friend, Kevin Shenkman. Beverly loved planning family vacations, sailing off on Caribbean cruises, and tasting mojitos in tropical locales. But above all her favorite thing to do was spend time with her three grandchildren and watch them grow. True to her middle name, Bev lived to bring others joy. She will be remembered for her kindness, for her generosity, and for throwing memorable parties. From an outdoor luau in celebration of her son's engagement, to Christmas open houses with guest appearances from Santa, to a Halloween bash that featured a trained chimpanzee, she stopped at nothing to make sure those she cared about were having the time of their lives. Beverly adored Christmas. Shopping for the perfect holiday present was not just something she liked to do; it was her year-round passion. Although she never liked to be the center of attention, Bev was incredibly serious in making sure that those around her were always having a great time. In this spirit, relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration service at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401, visitation starting at 12:00 p.m., followed by her funeral service on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you consider donating to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org).

Although I did not know Bev very well I was lucky enough to enjoy a few of those wonderful parties as she was my niece's mother-in-law and yes those grandkids were her life!!! Thoughts are prayers go out to her whole family in this trying time. May she rest in peace!
