Dolores Nave

1933 - 2018

Dolores (Doy) Angelucci Nave passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 30. She was 84. Born in Norristown on June 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Levino Angelucci and Carmella Giannone. Dolores's passion from an early age was dance. Her love of dancing brought her to New York, Philadelphia, Reading , Lancaster, New Jersey, and many other cities. She made her professional dream a reality when she opened "DOLORES DANCE STUDIO" in Norristown in 1950. Over the course of almost 40 years, she taught hundreds of children the gift of dance, including, tap, ballet, modern jazz, acrobat, and ballroom dance. She belonged to NADAA-National Association of Dance and Affiliated Artists; Dance Masters of America; and Dance Educators of America. Through this gift of dance she was able to give back to the community by volunteering at various hospitals, clubs and lodges. Her other passion was her family. Her husband George and two children George and Rita Dee. She was an amazing wife and incredibly devoted, loving mother, Mommom,and great Mommom. She was a fantastic Italian cook and proud matriarch of her family. She enjoyed going out to dinner, the casino, and going to the beach. A true believer in Christ, she was a lifelong member of Holy Saviour Church and a strong devotee to Saint Padre Pio. She is survived by her loving husband George of 63 years, son George (Michelle), daughter Rita Dee (Anthony), four grandchildren Dr. Dolores Tornambe (Ryan), Michael Tornambe (Erin), Georgie, and Geno Nave. Four great grand children, Bella, Mikey, Luca, and Stella, whom she adored. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 4, from 9:00 to 10:30 at Holy Saviour Church. Mass immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in the form of Mass cards to honor her memory.
