Dear Carol, Lynn and Families,
We were so very sorry when we heard of our dear friend Helen's passing on May 5, 2011. We attended her memorial service, but could not go to cemetery as we had Dr. appts. Sorry we never got a message in her guest book, but please know we dearly loved her, her sweet southern voice and and her lovely treatment of everyone she knew. She was so kind and loving. Pray she is resting in eternal peace. Now your Dad is with her and know they are happy being together. Pray GOD will continue to uphold each one forever. In loving sympathy and prayers always. I will always remember Aunt Helen's grace, charm, wit, and the wonderful southern belle way about her. Cindy and I wish we were closer and able to spend more time there but will make sure our little boy Graham knows the caring and loving example she set in her life.

Dear Uncle Bob, Lynn and Carol: I was saddened to receive Carol's email on Thursday and learn of Aunt Helen's death. Carol had told me just the other day that Aunt Helen had fallen again and had to go back into the hospital. She was a great lady from a great family. When I think of her, I think of the time she and Aunt Eleanor spent with us in Winnsboro, SC during WWII and when we first met Uncle Bob. Over the years we always enjoyed Bob and Helen's "drop-in" on their way to or from some place or another. Aunt Helen will be missed by many, which includes me. Love to all, Bubba

For as long as I can remember, I have such fond memories of Aunt Helen, the sweetest, kindest Pridgen of all (except for my mother of course) with the so cool southern acsent. We were'nt together nearly as much as any of us would have liked, but when we were it was always fun. The spirit of her presence, along with my father's, who would have turned 73 on 5/5, will live with us all forever. Love and lots of hugs to all. Doug and family

I send my love to you, Uncle Bob, and to Lynn and Carol. Hearing of Aunt Helen's death is such sad news. Your family was so special to Joe in the early years and then also to me after we were married. We loved our two years in NJ where we were able to see you now and then. Joe B. and Elizabeth thought you were mighty special. I have such lovely creative gifts that Aunt Helen made for us...placements, framed crossstitch piece etc. She was a special Grubbs girl. I know you will miss her so very much. I will be thinking of you on Monday.
With lots of love from Joe's family, Joan

Uncle Bob, Lynn and Carol, Even though we hadn't spent much time together, I will miss my Aunt Helen and her wonderful southern accent. I'll never forget our one sailboat ride -- with her holding on for dear life and telling the captain (my husband Jack) to "keep the boat flat." Thoughts and prayers to you all.

To Bob, Lynn & Carol, My heartfelt condolences go out to you today for the loss of your wife and mother, and my wonderful "baby" sister. I treasure the years that we grew up together and the telephone conversation in our later life where we shared so many loving moments, and where she never ever said goodby without making me laugh. She had an amazingly wry sense of humor. She'll never be forgotten. You're in my prayers and thoughts.

Lovingly, Eleanor

I have such fond memories of my Auntie Helen, the small woman with such a big heart -- always keeping her hands busy with knitting and other needlework. Over the years she made me several wonderful creations that I'll always treasure. I'll miss her easy laugh, the Georgia accent she never lost, and her wonderful sense of humor. A real southern lady. Rest in Peace, Helen. You had a life well led and many people who will always love you.
