John Mieski Obituary

John J. Mieski Jr., age 75 of W. Norriton, died on Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born in Norwich, CT on November 2, 1940 son of the late John J. Sr. and Mary (Wlodyka) Mieski. He was the beloved husband of Rhona “Ronnie” (Solomon) Mieski for 51 years. John was born and raised in Norwich, CT. He was a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Combat Veteran serving in both Vietnam and Japan. John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who was an animal lover and enthusiast of all sports especially football and baseball. He is survived by: a son, David S. (Shannon) of West Norriton; a daughter, Sharon K. (David) DiPaolantonio of Schnecksville, PA; a sister, Janice Peterson (Roger) of New London, CT; 4 grandchildren, Rachel, Aaron, Scott and Aiden; 1 niece and 1 nephew. Relatives and friends may pay respects on Thursday morning, April 28th, from 9:30-10:25am at Visitation BVM Church, 190 N Trooper Rd, Norristown, PA 19403. A funeral mass will commence at 10:30 am in the church. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John’s memory may be made to: the Arthritis Foundation, www.arthritis.org/donate.php or 1.844.571.4357. Professional arrangements are by the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA.
