Joseph Tropiano Sr.

1932 - 2017

Joseph Tropiano Sr., 84 of Wayne, PA, died on Wednesday, July 12th, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Norma (Pelosi) Tropiano married 58 years and the father of Paula Tropiano of Exton, PA and Joseph Tropiano, Jr. (Suzi) , and grandfather of Cecelia and Nicholas of Maple Glen, PA. He was born in South Philadelphia on August 12, 1932 to the late Salvatore and Carmella (Galvani) Tropiano. He was predeceased by three brothers, Francis, Dominic and Rocco; and five sisters Catherine, Madeline, Anna, Rita and Antoinette and survived by sister Delores and younger brother Anthony and many nieces and nephews. Joseph Tropiano was a proud patriot serving in the United States Army, Korean War combat Veteran. He was the owner and operator of Pelosi Tile Company, ceramic tile and Italian marble, along with his father in law and founder, the late Albert Pelosi of Philadelphia, PA. Joseph was active in his community over his 50 years residence in Wayne, PA serving on the Upper Merion Township School Board, Mother of Devine Providence Church Counsel and other local civic groups. He was a dedicated family man who loved his life; generously opening his heart and home to family and friends celebrating good times and being of support to those in need. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday evening, July18th, from 6-8pm at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken or on Wednesday morning, July 19th, from 9-10:15am at Mother of Divine Providence Church, Allendale Rd., King of Prussia. Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment, SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Delaware County.
