My deepest sympathies to Pete's family. Although I am saddened by his passing, I have many fond memories of Pete. May you rest in peace.

I met Peter through Wawa (where else) and once he knew my name he began to talk to me. Mostly about the oven he was building in the yard so he could make authentic Indian Naan bread. He would be at work beat red cause he spent the day building the oven. And he always had the pictures of the oven in his camera. I was a chef and he loved to cook so we would talk about that as well. He shared his wife's experience of being laid-up. I thought I knew a side of Peter but it wasn't until his memorial service did I learn things about him like his love of Jeopardy and his knowledge about history. So, no I didn't really know Peter, but he still touched my life because he is a good soul.
I wanted to share with Carol an experience I recently had and it may sound a litte crazy but it's the truth. I had surgery and ended up dying on the table and I remember everything being white and bright, and I wasn't afraid. It was very peaceful. I fought back cause I have a 15 year old daughter and I was just not ready to go. I have to believe that this is what Peter experienced as he gave himself up to God and that you shouldn't worry. He will be surely missed. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Carol, We am still shocked by the news of Peter's passing so quickly, as we can only begin to comprehend what it is for you. You supported Peter so bravely as he fought so hard to battle the disease that was within him. You stood by his side and helped in oh so many ways, soothing him, praying with him, and being there. Thank you Peter and Carol for showing us how to walk a path laid out by the Lord that is not so easy to walk. Carol know that Peter and you are still in our prayers. Our prayers are with you all in your time of lost and in celebrating Peter's life.

Though I mourn losing you so soon after coming to know you, Peter, I rejoice that you have eternal life, joy and peace in heaven now with your Savior Jesus Christ. We will see each other again, my friend.
