Peter Nardi Obituary

Peter P. Nardi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family at the Coatesville Veterans Medical Center's Hospice Unit on February 24, 2012 at the age of 86. Mr. Nardi was a resident of King of Prussia for 30 Years, where he resided with his wife, Sylvia. Pete was born in Conshohocken on March 16, 1925. He was the son of Gabriel (Gene) Nardi and Rachel Giovanni (Nardi) Zocco. Mr. Nardi was a World War II Veteran and served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Machinist in the China Burma India Theatre Campaign of World War II. Pete was a Life-member of Valley Forge Post #7878 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Carpenters' Union Local 465. Peter had various occupations during his lifetime but his main occupation was Construction. Pete was employed by B P Pietrini and Sons and Pasquale Real Estate, both in King of Prussia. He was a Superintendent in the Commercial Construction Industry for over 30 years and retired in 1986. After his retirement, Pete took up several hobbies: including computers and in 1988 he operated "K-P Mini- Link Bulletin Board" and was one of the Pioneers, who provided Public Computer Services prior to the inception of the World Wide Web (www); he also enjoyed fishing, golfing, helping neighbors and friends with construction projects, traveling and spending time with his family. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sylvia (Ratkowski) Nardi; son, Paul Nardi of Gwynedd, Daniel Nardi of North Wales; daughters, Cynthia Aigner of Gwynedd, Deborah (Justin) Marciano of Harleysville, Denise (Nicholas) Fritz of Philadelphia; two granddaughters, Doree and Sarah; two great- granddaughters, Devon and Skylar; brothers, Ronald Nardi, and Richard Nardi, both of Indianapolis, Indiana and Gene Nardi of Florida; a sister, Regina Nardi Welsh of Indianapolis, Indiana; many nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased in death by a brother Daniel Nardi. Relatives and friends may pay respects on Wednesday morning, February 29th, from 10-11:30am at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken. A funeral service will commence at 11:30am in the funeral home officiated by Pastor Joyce of the Coatesville Veterans Medical Center. Interment, St. Matthew Cemetery in Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory may be made to: Coatesville Veterans Medical Center Hospice Unit 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, Pa. 19320-2096.
