Robert Jefferies Obituary

Robert H. Jefferies of Conshohocken Robert H. Jefferies, “Boss/Mr. J”, a general contractor, died on Monday, February 8, 2016. He was born in Conshohocken on May 12, 1942 son of the late Granville and Gertrude (Ward) Jefferies. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Patricia (Zaleski) Jefferies, enjoying 53 years of marriage. Bob was born and raised in Conshohocken graduating Conshohocken High School Class of 1960. He was the owner/operator of the Gulf Station in Conshohocken. At this point in his life he was a top technician whose hobbies revolved around racing and motorsports. After selling the gas station, he started Robert Jeffries General Contracting. Early on his company built numerous homes and townhouses before focusing on large scale property maintenance for apartment complexes. He loved to work openly accepting the 24/7 schedule associated with property maintenance and saw the many challenges associated with this career as an opportunity to apply his vast array of skills in all the trades. His favorite part of the job was plowing snow and the fact that he was out all night battling the recent blizzard despite his failing health, pretty much defines him as a man. With what little free time he had, Bob loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by: 3 sons, Robert G. (Kris) of Trappe, Steven M. of Collegeville and Peter E. of E. Norriton; 5 grandchildren, Tiffani, Peter Jr., Justin, Cody and Eric. Relatives and friends may pay respects on Sunday evening, February 14th, from 6-8pm at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org or 800-822-6344.
