Growing up in South Vallejo in the 1950's brought many challenges, but also brought many rewards. One of those rewards were growing up with the Abeyta family, and George was one of those guys that you never forgot. His class, good nature and smile made him a welcome sight. Much later in life I met George at a 7/11 store early one workday morning. I thought he would not recognize me, but he did and he had that same welcoming smile and good nature. Rest In Peace George, your work is done here on earth.

I am so sorry for the loss of George. I remember the first time I saw him he was this cute little 10 year old boy with a mischievous smile. For our wedding when he was 12 he gave Vidal and I a tea pot, I still have it.
I don't think he ever got over Jamie's death. Now they are together.
Love Mary Abeyta
