Georgina Rice Obituary
Georgina Hope Rice passed away Sunday, July 21, in a local hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Vallejo, but Benicia has always been her home. She worked as a computer programmer at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for more than 30 years and retired in 1988.
Georgina loved her family and dedicated her life to caring for her husband, children, and grand-children. She enjoyed family gatherings and Sunday dinners, a Rice tradition. She also appreciated and cherished the view of the Carquinez Straits from her home.
Georgina is survived by Ron, her husband for over 65 years; sons, Tom (Debra) Rice, Mark (Susan) Rice and Dan (Debra) Rice; daughters, Annie (Richard) Wulff and Theresa (Mark) Magnuson; grandchildren, Joshua (Allison) Rice, Jeremiah (Stephanie) Rice, Kyle (Anna) Rice, Chelsey Rice, Amanda Wulff, Lucas Wulff, Jacob Wulff, Isaac Rice, Jordan Rice, Cynthia Dailey, Sydney Magnuson and Chad Magnuson; and great grand-children, Peyton Rice, Bailey Rice, Taylor Rice, Mackenzie Rice and Dominick Rice, as well as many other extended family members.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 27, at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private. The family prefers donations to the Benicia Community Action Council or any local favorite charity. Please visit the online tribute at www.passalacquafuneralchapel.com.
