Jean H. Mecredy, 102, of Vallejo passed away Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco. She was born in San Francisco, a member of a longtime historical Vallejo family, the Delaneys.
Jean was owner operator of Jean's Ceramic for 20 years, retiring in 1975. She was very artistic. Jean enjoyed making ceramics, gardening, and needle crafts. She was passionate about her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Alexander L. Mecredy. Jean is survived by her daughter, Patricia Williams (Dalt) of Vallejo; son, Bill Mecredy (Beverly) of Cascade, Idaho; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, with Rev. Hans Frei officiating at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St., Vallejo. Entombment will be at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery, Vallejo.
