Jerry E. Shook

1941 - 2022

Today we mourn the loss of our husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, Jerry Edward Shook, who passed away Thursday, July 14 in Dayton, NV. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Virginia Shook; brother, Kenneth Shook; three sisters, Joyce, Geraldine, and Cheryl; three children, Kenny, Scott, and Robin; eight grandkids; 14 great-grandkids; with two more on the way. He was born and raised in Muskogee, OK, spent two years in the National Guard, transferred to the Army Reserves before settling in Vallejo, CA. He worked for the City of Vallejo over 20 years, making lifelong friends before retiring to OK. There, he became president of the Oklahoma Mule Skinners with his mules, Toby, Kate and Joe. He spent a few years driving a truck for his cousin, Mike Ladd, before retiring again to Dayton, NV. He enjoyed travelling very much, leaving no trail unexplored. His most recent and final trip was to Ely, NV where he enjoyed talking to the conductor and riding the train. He was loved by all who knew him and will be forever missed. He is now pain-free, in heaven, with his best friend...his father. Services will be held on July 22 at 2pm. Condolences can be sent to Walton's Funeral 1281 N Roop St, Carson City, NV 89706.
