Mark Stirling Talbot, 47, of Benicia passed away Thursday in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Walnut Creek, grew up in Richmond, and had been a Benicia resident since 1976.
Mark was disabled in a car accident at the age of 16, but continued to live life to the fullest. He was devoted to his extended family and friends, and was known for his engaging sense of humor and his generosity of spirit. He was widely read in many subjects and deeply knowledgeable about computers and technology. His many interests included architecture, motorcycles and hot rods, politics, and collecting objects d'art.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Talbot, Jr.
Mark is survived by his mother, Anne Talbot of Benicia; sister Mariana (Robert) Moore of Benicia; brothers Matthew Talbot of Berkeley, John (Maureen) Talbot of Benicia, Luke (Mikki) Talbot of Davis, and Michael (Christine) Talbot of Sacramento. He was a devoted uncle to Sharon Neal and Kelsey and Connor Talbot.
Visitation will be at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel after 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16. with Vigil services at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at St. Dominic's Church, Benicia. Burial will follow in St. Dominic's Cemetery.
Family suggests donations to an international orphanage, a cause dear to Mark's heart.

I just learned about Mark's death. I was a high school friend of Marks. We had fun times together. I hope all the Talbot family is feeling some comfort.
