Michael John Flynn

1935 - 2018

Dec. 19, 1935 - Feb. 6, 2018 Vallejo Michael John Flynn, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Feb. 6, at 11:55 p.m., in his sleep, after a long battle with dementia, he was surrounded by family. He was born in Ireland, County Kerry on Dec. 19, 1935 to parents, Cornelius and his wife, Mary Dillon-Flynn. He had one brother, Matthew who is married to Noreen. He came to the USA in 1964, worked as a real estate co-op property manager for 47 years and was a member of the San Francisco SEIU Union Local 2. He married the love of his life, Norka Morales-Flynn on Sept. 5, 1970 and had four children. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His life was about his wife, children and his grandchildren he was blessed to spend time with. He loved trying different foods, walking the family dogs, and going on road trips while listening to classic music. No one who ever met him forgot his awesome smile, positiveness and his genuine friendliness. He is irreplaceable and will always be in the family's hearts. He is survived by his loving wife, Norka; daughter, Marianella; sons, Antonio, Eamon, and Fernando (Astrid); his grandchildren, Iliana and Fernando Jr.; brother, Matthew (Noreen), and their children. Viewing with vigil and rosary will be Thursday, Feb. 15 from 4:30 to 8 p.m., at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, 550 Glen Cove Road, Vallejo. Mass will be Friday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m., at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 925 Sacramento St., Vallejo.
