Andrew B. Mattey, 89, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, in Peabody, Mass.
Born in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Kalie Mattey. He graduated from St. Vincent's High School and was a graduate of King's College, earning his accounting degree. Andrew was a U.S. Army veteran.
Preceding him in death were his brother, the Rev. Joseph J. Mattey; and his daughters: Cynthina Mattey and Sandra Jean Panuski.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, the former Rose Shupshinsky; daughter, Sheri, and son-in-law George McCracken, of Peabody, Mass., with whom he lived; and daughter, Lori, and son-in-law Dr. William Chromey, of Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Weston and Conner McCracken; Lauryn and Kyle Chromey; and Samantha and Michael Panuski.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in Corpus Christi Parish (St. Anthony's Church), 224 Memorial St., Exeter. The family will receive friends there from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment with Rite of Committal will be in St. John Slovak Cemetery, Schooley St., Exeter.
