Ann M. Hughes, 91, of Dallas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at Allied Services Meade Street Residence in Wilkes-Barre, surrounded by love.
Born in Nanticoke on July 22, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Cecilia (Wisniewski) Baker.
Ann was a graduate of Marymount High School, Wilkes-Barre, and the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. Over the course of her career, she worked as an X-ray technician and department supervisor for several healthcare organizations throughout Wyoming Valley.
She was an avid reader who valued lifelong learning and enjoyed traveling. Her faith was central to her life, and she served as an eucharistic minister at St. Therese's Church in Shavertown.
In recent years, Ann resided at Allied Meade Street Residence, where she embraced many of the staff and residents as part of her extended family.
A woman of grace, faith, and loving strength, Ann found her greatest joy and purpose in raising and nurturing her family.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband of 58 years, John D. Hughes; sister, Frances Baker; brothers, Edward, Robert, and Theodore Baker; and daughters, Katherine (infant) and Patricia Baltusavich.
She is survived by those she considered her greatest treasures — her children, Mary Hughes, Kingston; Paul Hughes, Dallas; Judith Liegeois, N.C.; Rebecca Sarti, Forty Fort; and Kathleen and Michael Butcher, Dallas. Ann was blessed with 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her dear sister, Sylvia Lasecki.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Therese's Church, 64 Davis St., Shavertown, with the Rev. Joseph Pisaneschi officiating. Friends may call the church from 10 a.m. to service time.
Interment will be held privately in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming.
In lieu of flowers, Ann would prefer that we extend kindness to one another.
Arrangements are by Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., Shavertown.

Dear Mary, Becky and family,
Sending you my deepest sympathy.
Your Mom and I worked many years together at Lake St. medical office and shared a wonderful friendship. Ann helped so many with her skill and kindness.
My Texas home has many of Mary´s beautiful art pieces that I treasure and know many were touched by Ann and Jack.
Thinking of you all with love.
