To my other Mother,

I cried a tear
You wiped it dry
I was confused
You cleared my mind
I sold my soul
You bought it back for me
And held me up and gave me dignity
Somehow I needed you and
You were there for me

You gave me strength

To stand alone again
To face the world
Out on my own again
I needed you
You were there for me

And I can't believe it's you I can't believe it's true

You held my hand
When it was cold
When I was lost
You took me home
You gave me hope
When I was at the end
And turned my lies
Back into truth again
I wish I'd saw you when...
But we shall meet again.. at the next family reunion... in Heaven
Love Forever, Your Neice, Denise

Hi Aunt Ann,
I'm so very sorry I didn't make it back to see you again and spend the weekend. I was really looking forward to it. We had such a great time talking about the good old days in Brooklyn with you and Uncle Charlie on Granit Street and Brushwick Avenue and all the fun we had. The Sunday card games at grandma Rhindflash with grandpa Tierney. Thanks for all the times you took care of me. I'll never forget those days. You and Uncle Charlie were a very important part of my life growing up. Thanks for being there. I'll never forget you. Til' we all meet again someday.
Love, Joannie xoxoxox

Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street, she's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume that she wore, she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well, she's your breath in the air on a Cold winter's day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow, she is Christmas morning. Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop. A mother shows every emotion.... happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow.... and all the while, hoping and praying you will only know the Good feelings in life. She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you...Not time, not space....not even death!
