Anna Maximowicz Obituary
Anna M. Maximowicz, 89, of Pringle, died Saturday, November 6, 2010, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Albert and Suzanna Matas Kaschak. Anna was born an American citizen in Mestisko, Slovakia. She immigrated with her mother and siblings to America in 1935, when they were able to evade Nazi occupation, reuniting with her father in Larksville. Anna was a quality control inspector at a defense plant in New Jersey during World War II and co-owner of F & A Trucking during the 1950s and '60s. She was a member of St. Hedwig's Mothers' Guild and a lifelong member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; her son, also Theodore; and her sister Helen Kuchta. Anna is survived by her sons, Robert, Pringle, and Stanley and wife Donna (Walsh), Kingston; daughter Mary Ann Pelliccia, Pringle; daughter-in-law Debbie Maximowicz, Courtdale; 13 grandchildren; brother Michael Kaschak; and sisters Mary Yencha and Irene Kaschak. Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 from 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Courtdale.
