Anna Marie (Darr) Perrins, formerly of Avoca, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at the Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Scranton.
She was born in Walnut Bottom on Jan. 4, 1934, and was the daughter of the late C. Melvin and Alice (Gleason) Darr.
She was a graduate of Avoca High School, where she was in the top five of her class. She was a member of St. John Primitive Methodist Church in Avoca, where she served as treasurer for many years.
Anna is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Perrins; along with brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
The family would like to thank Old Forge Manor and Linwood Nursing and Rehab Center for the great care they provided to Anna for the past year.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with the Rev. Thomas Duggan, of Changed by The Word Ministries, officiating. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of service on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017. Interment will be held at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Primitive Methodist Church, 316 Main St., Avoca, PA 18641.
