WILKES-BARRE — Brian P. Bly, 50, of Wilkes-Barre, was in the presence of his loving family when he passed away peacefully into the arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ, at Hershey Medical Center on Tuesday evening, April 18, 2017.
Born Oct. 21, 1966, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of Florence (Lucarino) Bly and the late Michael Leo Bly. A 1985 graduate of GAR, Brian was employed by Sears Logistics Service, where he worked for the past 24 years.
Brian was a kindhearted person who loved life and touched the lives of many. He loved his family, friends and his cats, Oreo and the late Cody. He always had a passion for helping animals in need. Brian looked forward to bartending and just hanging out with family and friends at the Santa Paolina Club, where he also enjoyed the pool and dart leagues.
Brian was a huge fan of The Beatles, especially John Lennon. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys, New York Mets, Notre Dame and NASCAR fan.
Brian will be greatly missed by his sisters, Barbara Bralczyk, of Glen Lyon, and Jean Caruso and her husband, Brian, of Swoyersville; brothers, Michael T. Bly and his wife, Donna, Robert Bly, and Ronald Roskowski and his wife, Bernadine, all of Wilkes-Barre; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Brian's Life will begin with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McLaughlin's, 142 S. Washington St. in Wilkes-Barre, and continue there with gathering at 9 a.m. Saturday, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Patrick. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612.

Many years, and great times with you. We had a blast 4 wheeling at night. You spent a lot of time with me and the guys at the garage on Hazle Street. The Moose club.... You helping me put on the Elvis tribute. Being brave , holding boards for our breaking techniques. Cookouts , 4th of July parties, flying through the air in the backyard sky playground. Zip lines. Too many memories...... Watching you on the many films we made in the 80's & 90's. We always loved you Brian, and always will. Will miss you stopping by. Rest in peace our friend.

Dear Micky and Bly family, So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I have so many great memories growing up on Stanton Street in the 80's. It was a time when your friends were more like family. Being a Beatles fan too Brian would always stop by and talk to me about the Fab Four. The Bly family will always be special to me. God Bless you all during this difficult time. REST IN PEACE BRIAN!!!
