C. Warren Koehl

C. Warren Koehl, M.D., entered into rest on Oct. 12, 2025. Dr. Warren Koehl was born in Camden, N.J., on Sept. 1, 1927.

Warren spent his formative years in Abington, Pa., where he graduated from high school. Dr. Koehl entered Penn State University after high school but was drafted into the Army after one semester. When relieved from service, he returned to Penn State to complete his undergraduate degree. Dr. Koehl attended Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia and served his residency in pathology in Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa.

Upon the completion of his training, he practiced in Wilkes-Barre and was the director of the departments of laboratory and nuclear medicine at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. After retirement, Warren and his wife, Blair, moved to Aiken, where they volunteered for six years at the Aiken Community Medical Center. Warren described his service as a "great experience, both valuable and personally rewarding."

Warren is survived by his wife, Blair; his three children, two stepchildren, eight grandchildren and stepgrandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, in St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, with a reception to follow in the Stevenson-McClelland Building.
