Caroline M. Collins

Mrs. Caroline M. Collins, 66, of Parsonage Street, Hughestown, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 1, 2009, at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.
Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late David and Rose Luke Frew. She attended St. Mary’s Schools. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the area garment industry.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Hughestown. She resided most of her life in Hughestown.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Goldowski.
She and her husband, Francis, celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this past May.
Surviving besides her husband, are her twin daughters, Kimberly Ann Taddei and her husband, Randolph of Wyoming, and Renee Matalenas and her husband, George, of Dupont; two granddaughters, Kayla Marie and Kristina Lynn Taddei; three sisters, Rosemary Cassotti, of Old Forge; Bernice Pieczynski, of Pittston, and Geraldine and her husband, James of Pittston; as well as nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Hughestown. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call today, from 5 to 8 p.m.
