Charles Cromer Obituary
Charles W. Cromer (Chich), 82, of Lee Park Towers, Hanover Township, died Thursday, October 1, 2009, at his daughter's home on Regal Street in Korn Krest, Hanover Township. He was born March 16, 1927, in Warrior Run, a son of the late Clarence and Rose (Burke) Cromer. He served in the Navy during World War II, which led to his son serving in the Navy, as well as his grandson, who is now serving in the Navy on the U.S.S. Enterprise. Chich was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ceil (Comitz) Cromer, in November 2000. He is survived by daughter, Susan Cromer, Hanover Township; son, Charles Cromer, Hanover Township; daughter, Joanne Kepp, Nanticoke; daughter, Tracey Eckhart, Hanover Township; son, Ronald Cromer, Hanover Township; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clarence (Nuni) Cromer, Mountain Top; Joseph (Babe) Cromer, Warrior Run; Sylvester (Kielbosi) Cromer, New York. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 4, 2009, at 8 p.m. from the Piszczek-Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 679 Carey Ave., Hanover Township. Brother Matthew Dombrowski of Nanticoke Congregation Jehovah's Witnesses will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 6 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m.
