DALLAS — Cheryl Williams Wilson, of Dallas, 48, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 11, 2014. She will be missed by the many friends and family she cherished.
Born in Kingston, a beloved daughter to the late Robert and Joan Shotwell Williams, formerly of Plymouth, she was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and Penn State-Hazleton Campus.
An assistant physical therapist at Pro-Rehabilitation Services, Plains Township, her bright blue eyes and infectious smile captured the attention of all she met. Her kind-hearted and gentle spirit was appreciated by her patients and her loved ones.
Cheryl loved good music, good food and a good bottle of wine. A traveling enthusiast, Cheryl was a devotee of the beach and enjoyed trips to Cape May, Martha's Vineyard and, especially, Newport.
Surviving is her devoted husband, John S. Wilson III, Dallas; brothers, Dale Williams and his wife, Brenda, Dallas, Dave Williams and his wife, Sherri, Plymouth; brother-in-law, Tyler Wilson and his wife, Jen, Shavertown; sister-in-law, Kendra Muenter and her husband, Mark, Newport, Rhode Island. She will always be known as the "cool aunt" by her nieces and nephews, Kyle, Devin, Paige and Cole Williams and Grace Muenter.
To her friends and family, she will "not fade away."
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown. The Rev. George Price, of Calvary United Methodist Church, West Nanticoke, will officiate. Friends may call from 5 until service Monday.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colleen Shea Children's Foundation, 1086 Highway 315, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702

I used to work with Cheryl and she was a wonderful person. When I made an unpopular decision to move on to another job, she was one of only two people who supported me and I will never forget that. My sincere condolences to all who loved her.
