Daniel Hoban, 66, of Harding, Exeter Township, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Third Avenue Health and Rehab, Kingston.
He was born in Pittston to the late Eugene and Shirley (Brady) Hoban. Daniel graduated from Pittston High School in 1976. He started his career working for Topps and went on to work as a mechanic for Agway (Suburban) Propane in Yatesville.
Daniel will be deeply missed by his fiancée, Theresa, of Harding. They shared many adventures and a zest for life over their 38 years. Devoted partners to each other, they were nearly inseparable throughout their lives. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, laughter and unwavering companionship. Throughout their time together, Theresa was truly Daniel's guardian angel. Theresa and her sons: Dan (Amber) Brown, of Texas; and Michael Brown, of California; meant the world to Daniel. Dan and Amber's daughters, Skylar and Everly, also held a special place in Daniel's heart, as they lovingly referred to him as "Pop."
Daniel is also survived by his brothers: Kevin (Fran) Hoban, of Harding; and Larry (Mary Ann) Hoban, of Hazleton; sisters: Jean Marie (Charles) Wruble, of Suscon; and Kathy (Ronald) Wruble, of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Daniel will be greatly missed by family and friends, and remembered as a shining light by anyone who was fortunate enough to have met him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will never fade. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who held him dear, as well as his beloved backyard animals, especially Bobcat.
Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
