Lois, I was saddened to hear of Dan's passing when I talked to Richard this past weekend. Dan was one of my earliest dentist's but I most remember Dan for his love of St. John's and the many things he has done to keep that church in great shape. I am sure the congregation will sorely miss him..

Cheryl and I want to convey our sincerest sympathies to you and the Walting family on Dan's passing. We learned the news when we returned from Europe yesterday and are so sorry we were unable to attend the funeral. As indicated by my brother Mark's note in this guest book, and Bob and Ellen's attendance, we all feel the loss greatly. Dan was a shining light for the family in more ways than I can convey. My earliest memories, too, revolved around the summers spent in Nanticoke, and most vividly recall the work Dan (and Paul) did on both 619 and 712. Dan made a great contribution to the town, the Church, and the family as a whole. He will forever be in our hearts and memories. God bless. Cheryl and George

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Waltings family. He was one of the kindest persons I ever met. And a wonderful dentist. He was mine and my mom's dentist. I know he will be deeply missed.
Rest in Peace Dr. Walting.

Dear Lois, Children, Paul and Judy,

Ann, Brittany, Matthew and I send our deepest sympathies. My thoughts return to those trips we made to Nanticoke from East Greenbush when I was a youngster and I would listen to my Dad and Paul and Dan sit on the back porch at 712 and regale each other in stories of growing up in Nanticoke. I remember the hilarious laughter and the pungent smell of cigar smoke, from the three of them. In all my years, I never saw my Dad enjoy himself more than during those bull sessions. Theirs was the fabric that stitched generations of the family together. Ann and I also recall with great fondness the wonderful weddings for Lynn, Lauri, Lisa and Danny that we attended. Dan's pride in his children and their achievments was palpable. I know Dan was proud of his service to our country by his deep abiding love of the Navy, a bond that Ann and I shared with him as we moved through our careers. I still remember your wedding day Lois. Dan in his dress blues and you stunning in white. It is my first real memory of a "big event" and one I'll carry with me the rest of my life. Although Ann and I will not be able to make it to Nanticoke, please accept our deepest sympathies. We are saddened to learn of his passing but know that the the Lord's goodness and mercy will shine upon him and you in the days, weeks months and years ahead....unto eternity. May God bless you. God Bless Dan Walting.
With Love and Respect
