NOXEN TWP. — David E. Korbeil Sr., 81, of Noxen Township, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Gilbertsville, Pa.
David was born in Kingston, Pa., to the late William Korbeil and Beatrice Scott Lapallo. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1961. He was baptized at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1961, and spent his life dedicated to service to Jehovah, and staying close to brothers and sisters in the congregation. David's early career was in road construction with American Asphalt, and then later, a decade as a driver for the local County Transit Authority.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Linda (Jones) Korbeil; children: David (Sasha) Korbeil II, of Noxen; Sheila (Brian) Hook, of Chesterbrook; Lily (Scott) Korbeil, of Pottstown; Jonathan (Rosy) Korbeil, of Abington; and Lindy Bowles, of Lost Creek, W.V. His siblings are: Gene (Jane) Scott, from Noxen; Frank Lapallo, Dale Lapallo, Sandra Westgate, and Karen (Michael) Whalen — all in Binghamton, N.Y. David's grandchildren are: Allie, Rose, McKenna, Carina, Marshall, and Halley.
A celebration of life for David will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5536 US 6 , in Tunkhannock, Pa. Interment will be at Orcutt Grove Cemetery in Noxen.
