Dolores Patricia Kutz Prushinski passed away peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at her home. Born in the Honey Pot section of Nanticoke in 1930, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Blanche Sosinski Kutz. She was a graduate of the Nanticoke High School Rams, class of 1948, where she actively served on the reunion committee. She was a member of the Catholic Community of Saint Faustina Kowalska (formerly Saint Stanlislaus) of Nanticoke. At St. Stanislaus, Dolores was a member of the choir, seamstress for the Youth Group Living Stations, led the Rosary recitations before Sunday Mass, and helped to organize the weekly Eucharistic Adoration/Divine Mercy services. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Stanley J. Prushinski; sisters, Dorothy B. O'Brien and Jean (Eugenia) M. Kutz. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 22 S. Prospect St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Thanksgiving and Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Faustina Parish-alternate site, 1030 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke. Tuesday morning Mom won her place in heaven. She passed away as she lived her life, in prayer.
I have learned that prayers are answered ... it's in how we pray ... not what we pray for that get's them answered.
She was, and will always be the best part of me.
We truly do not know the hour and moment, but we must constantly be prepared with prayer and humility to accept death when it is our turn.
Thank you all for your support through this "adventure" and the prayers that have been answered.
