Elizabeth Takach Obituary

Elizabeth Swantko Takach, 85, formerly of North Street, Hudson, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Hudson, she was a daughter of the late Maximillian and Pauline Lesianski Swantko. Elizabeth was formerly employed at Lazarus, American Red Cross and Mercy Hospital.
She was a member of Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral and was secretary of St Barbara’s Guild.
She was preceded in death by sisters Mary Telep, Evelyn Wysocki, Anna Swantko and Helen Gorski; brothers Frank, John and Michael Swantko.
Surviving are daughter Marguerite Schroeder, Marlton, N.J.; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Requiem service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Church, 591 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre. Friends may call Friday, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., at Holy Resurrection Cathedral. Arrangements are by the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains.
