Eric W. Eppler Jr., eleven months old, passed away unexpectedly May 11, 2025, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 23, 2024, in Wilkes-Barre, he is the son of Eric W. Eppler Sr. and Jessica Chwastyk.
Our sweet baby boy was just about to turn one. He was always smiling, enjoying his new favorite colors — blue, green and a little red — and was starting to enter his favorites too. He loved playing with his trains, fire trucks, his stuffed giraffe, chewing on his cheeseburger teether and loved his snack time with star puffs and a bottle. He especially loved playing with his sisters, Aubriannah Chwastyk and Anastazia Eppler.
In addition to his mom, dad and sisters, he will be sadly missed by his family, the Eppler, Chwastyk, Jablonski and Daniels families.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Township. A visitation for family and friends will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A special thank you to all of our friends and family for your thoughts, prayers and support in this difficult time.

I just watched his procession on FB and learned about his passing. As a former Firefighter and EMT... and a Mom, my heart and tears are with you all from the Oregon Coast.
Wishing you peace, healing and love.

To my sweet baby boy. I love you, I will never forget you, I will make sure your sisters and your cousins know who you were. A sweet, happy always smiling Dolly bug. Your short time here on earth was an enjoyable time for me. Now that you're gone to heaven, we're sad yes but, happy now that you lay in the arms of our Lord. Please watch down on us my little angel. All of our loved ones that have already went to heaven are just loving you up and giving you all the love, kisses, cheek pinches and lots of tickles that, we can't give you. Now my sweet angel, you rest in peace and this is not good bye but, see you soon.
Love Bapci

Seeing how much this child was loved coming into the world, I can´t imagine the heartbreak now that he has left it. You never know how much time you are given with anyone, and we are so blessed that part of his time was spent with us The Elliott family sends all of their love to those left behind, and we pray for healing during the journey forward.

Sending love and strength. I worked with baby Eric's grandma way back when at the Red Cross, and as soon as I saw the name, my heart sank. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. May you find comfort.

I don't know you but.I do know your pain. Been thru. I can honestly say....the pain NEVER goes away but believe it or not at some point in the future...it will feel like the concrete on your chest when you try to breath WILL become lighter....the tears...Never go away but will subside a bit and one day you will be able to share an adorable story with out breaking down. Until that time comes know your little Eric is doing well playing with the angels and that he,you&your entire family....friends and all who's lives he has touched that find it hard to cope now are sincerely in my thoughts &prayers and will continue to be for a long time to come.
