Helen Sufleta Obituary

LARKSVILLE — Helen Sufleta, 88, a native of Larksville, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.

She was born a daughter to the late John and Julia (Handlos) Sufleta. A graduate of Larksville High School and the Nesbitt Hospital School of Nursing, Helen was a registered nurse who worked in Washington, D.C., for 28 years at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Plains Township, and retired from Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston.

An active member and parish writer for the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Kingston, Helen was also a member of Mary's Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Edward Sufleta, and step-brother, Leonard Bolton.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from Maher-Collins Funeral Home, 360 N. Maple Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call 9 a.m. to time of service Friday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, 339 N. Maple Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.
