Ilah Hinz Obituary

M rs. Ilah Vann Hinz, 84, of Heather Highlands, Inkerman, died on Friday morning at her home.
She was born in the Bunker Hill section of Kingston Township, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Kate (Shales) Protheroe. She had been a resident of Heather Highlands for over 30 years. Previously she resided in Luzerne and Bunker Hill. She was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death are her companion, John Hinz, brother, Robert L. Protheroe; sisters, Florence Prynn; Gertrude Hendershot; Mary Snyder, Ester Harvey; grandson, John Lord Jr.
Surviving are her daughters Sandy Lord, Luzerne; Diane Heck, Enterprise, AL; Charlene Emel, Atlantic City, FL; Carol Spess, Inkerman; sons James Vann, Inkerman; Dale Hinz, Inkerman; John Hinz, Inkerman; brother, Elwood Protheroe, Plains; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Hugh B. Hughes & Son, Inc., Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Rev. Willard Rollins, pastor of the Shoemaker Memorial United Methodist Church, West Wyoming.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.
