Jane L. Schmauch, 77, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Jane was born Sept. 19, 1948, daughter of the late Gladys Gessner Tresler and Merwin Tresler.
She is a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1966. Jane was employed as a waitress at Ollie's Family Restaurant for many years.
Jane always enjoyed playing cards with all of her friends, playing bingo and loved going on her bus trips to Atlantic City with her best friend of many, many years, Barbara.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James McCabe; sisters, Judy Haggerty and Lauren Benner.
Jane is survived by her sister, Ruth Sennett; her son, Joseph and his wife, Tracy; her daughter, Elizabeth; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, Forty Fort.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Luzerne County SPCA.
