Janet Beane Obituary

Janet Beane, 76, of Wesley Street, Forty Fort, died Friday morning in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Plains Township, she was a daughter of the late Silas and Janet (Frew) Wolfe. She was a graduate of Forty Fort High School, Class of 1946, and attended Wyoming Seminary Business School, Bloomsburg University and Warton School of Business. Mrs. Beane resided most of her life in Forty Fort. She was employed by H.C. Weiner Associates of Kingston and Heavenly Shoe of Hanover Township as a bookkeeper for over 20 years. She was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church and its Live Wire Club, the Business Professional Women and the Mt. Grange, in which she served as secretary and treasurer.
Surviving is her husband of 25 years, Ralph; son, Theodore (Ted) Stevens and his wife, Lorraine; grandchildren, Silas and Bethany Stevens.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Michael Shambora of the Wyoming United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton section of Kingston Township.
Friends may call Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 376 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming PA 18644.
