On Saturday July 16, 2022, Janet Davies Trosko passed away at age 87.
Janet was born on Sept. 24, 1934, in West Pittston, to the late Griffith and Evelyn Davies. She graduated from West Pittston high school and went on to work at several colleges and universities throughout her career, ultimately retiring from Penn State University in 2003.
Janet always loved music and could often be found singing or whistling. Her bright smile and warm, nurturing spirit made her a perfect Grammy to her five grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Tom and wife Kelley, of State College, and daughter Sue Abele and husband Walter, of Greensboro, N.C., along with grandchildren Joe, Rachel and Nick Abele and Samantha and Charli Trosko.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of family.

I am so sorry to hear of Janet's passing. I am the youngest of the "George Family" cousins and did not get to know that side of the family well, but I have fond memories of Janet from when I was young. The last time I saw her was about 15-20yrs ago. It was a pleasure to see her and her sister Dorothy at that time. My sympathies go out to Tom and Sue.
