WILKES-BARRE — Janice S. Meier, RN, PA, 83, of Wilkes-Barre, passed from this earth to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, leaving behind her husband, Robert, of 55 years of marriage, to be with God.
She leaves behind her children, Robbie Meier; Steven Meier and his wife, Jenn; Corin Schumacher and her husband, Robert; daughter-in-law, Nancy Johnson; grandchildren, Robert Schumacher; Joseph Johnson and his wife, Mairin; Jenna and Jay Johnson; great-grandchildren, Sloane and Cohan Johnson; sister, Bonnie Yeisley and her husband, Ken; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In addition to her parents, William and Anna Search, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kent Johnson; and her brother, Stacy Search and his wife, Bonnie.
Janice's husband and children would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Raul Hiedra and Dr. Thomas Kania, who assisted her in her time of need, and the staff of Allied Services Hospice Care, for their kindness and dedication in making the last moments of Janice's life here on earth more comfortable.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1000 S. Main St., Hanover Twp. Her pastor, the Rev. Peter Haenftling, will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Family and friends are asked to gather for a visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the church.
