WEST WYOMING — Jean Marie (Strohl) Pisaneschi, 75, a resident of West Wyoming, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning, Feb. 24, 2021, with her husband, John, at her side, following a struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Her loving husband is John Pisaneschi. Together, John and Jean shared 58 beautiful years of marriage.
Born on Sept. 12, 1945, in Lawton, Jean was one of 18 children born to the late Francis and Mary Arlene (Cook) Strohl.
A faithful Catholic, Jean was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Jean was the neighborhood Good Samaritan, always taking care of others. From cooking for the elderly, giving rides, taking care of the sick, or listening to problems, Jean's countless good deeds and care for others were only matched by her inner goodness and beauty.
Throughout her life, Jean had a great love for all animals, especially horses and dogs. She enjoyed golfing in younger years; dancing; visiting her many sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews; going out to eat; and shopping.
An attentive and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jean's family brought her the greatest joy in life. Although her beautiful presence will be missed beyond measure, we rejoice that she is now enjoying paradise with her Lord, who she so faithfully served.
Preceding Jean in death, in addition to her parents, Francis and Mary Arlene Strohl, were a number of her brothers and sisters; her mother and father-in law, Elda and Joe Pisaneschi, who were a second set of parents to Jean; her son-in-law, Dr. Vincent Coccodrilli; and several of her nieces and nephews.
In addition to husband, John, Jean was a devoted mother to her two children, Donna Marie Coccodrilli, of Exeter; and the Rev. Joseph J. Pisaneschi, Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville. She was an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother to her granddaughters, Gena, of West Pittston and Shiloh, of Exeter; and her great-granddaughters, Kaya Lynn and Elda Lourdes, both of West Pittston.
Additionally, Jean is survived by her sisters and brothers; her numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bella.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jean's viewing which will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021, from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville.
A con-celebrated Mass of Christian Burial will commence on Monday morning at 11 a.m., with her son, the Rev. Joseph J. Pisaneschi, as the main celebrant and Monsignor John J. Sempa, as homilist. The Rite of Committal will be offered in the church at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass.
Those attending the viewing and/or funeral Mass are required to wear a facial covering and observe social distancing. For those who are unable to attend, the Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on Monday at 11 a.m. on the Facebook page of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, or by visiting www.setonpa.com.
Private interment will immediately follow in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Funeral arrangements for the Pisaneschi family have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.

Father Joe, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your mother. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I wasn't aware of her passing until you mentioned it in your homily. May you find comfort that, as you said, she's merely at a new address in heaven. Michele Belcastro

Jeans smile and presence will be greatly missed. Jean would always have a sweet word about everyone. We are deeply saddened by her passing. You couldn't get another neighbor as caring as jean. Our deepest sympathy to all of her family and friends. Also her doggie Bella that was her sidekick. I'm sure Bella misses her immensely. Memories of Jean will live on with all that were fortunate enough to have met her. Rest In Piece Jean you will never be forgotten.
