WYOMING — Joan E. McAfee, 80, of Wyoming and formerly of Mountain Top, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Birchwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Nanticoke.
Born in Tomhicken, she was a daughter of the late George and Rachel (Kishbach) Kyte Sr.
Joan was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Clair McAfee; son, Daniel Kyte; and her brother, George Kyte Jr.
Joan is survived by her son, Richard McAfee, Nancy and family, of Forty Fort; her brother, John Kyte and his wife, Elaine, of Hazleton; her sisters, Charlotte Kuehn and her husband, Lindy, of Drums, and Doris Price and her husband, John, of Plymouth Meeting; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at McCune Funeral Home, Mountain Top. Interment will follow in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

I will miss my friend Joan. We had a lot of fun working together and keeping in touch after her retirement. She will always be in my thoughts.
