John A. Kolander, 88, of Pittston, died May 30, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Friends may call for visitation from 11 a.m. to service time.

John my mentor at Penn Dot when I was breaking into Construction management. We got to be good friends and shared a lot of great times together. Helped him out putting a side porch on his house once. A big man with a big smile and a big heart. RIP
