SHAVERTOWN — John M. Robinson III, of Shavertown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in Susquehanna County.
John was born Sept. 8, 1976, in Dallas, to Anne G. Robinson, of Kingston, and the late John M. Robinson Jr., of Spring Mills, Pa.
He was a 1994 graduate of Dallas Area High School and attended Penn State University. He was employed as a supervisor for Consolidated Wellsite Services Inc., of Meshoppen, Pa.
In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harry G. Gallagher, M.D.
Surviving, besides his mother, are his children, Chase Michael and Amelia Reese Robinson; sister, Leigh R. Anthony and her husband, Robert, and their children, Rowan and Sadie Anthony; sisters, Marci Robinson, Amy Robinson, Jane Brey and Marjorie Foltzer; and by his former wife, Jennifer Reese Robinson. Also surviving is his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Harry G. Gallagher; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A blessing service will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Andrew Kurovsky, of St. Ignatius Loyola Church, Kingston, at the Hugh P. Boyle & Son Funeral Home Inc., 416 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 1:45 to 4 p.m. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to the Back Mountain Food Pantry, 40 Knob Hill Road, Dallas, PA 18612.
