Joseph Wozniak Obituary
Additionally, he is survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one sister, Jean Scupski.
Joe was born in Ashley on Jan. 7, 1930, entered the United States Air Force immediately after graduation, and retired after twenty years in 1967.
Subsequently he began another 30-year career as civil servant at Hunter Army Airfield, and as manager of Largo Beverage. For the past five years he has been enjoying his family and retirement.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Savannah, Ga.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Savannah.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Carmelite Monastery, 11 West Back St., Savannah, GA. 31419

I loved Joe so much and will never forget the endless and compassionate care he gave my mother while she was so ill. I know they are both watching down on us now and are smiling. I was proud to be part of his family!!

Papo, I Love and Miss You So Much.
I am going to miss talking about Nicholas, or as you referred to him "tough guy" with you. You always had a way of helping and making it a little better. Thank you for all the support with Nicholas. I will always remember growing up and playing baseball and football for the Royals with you as coach. It was so much fun, you helped a little boy learn how to grow into a man. I hope and pray that I will be as much of a Man as you. I am sad that you will not be able to see Nicholas and Nathan grow up and play sports, yet I am rejoiced and believe you will always be watching out for us all. Like you used to say " a little birdie told you" when ever I got in trouble, you know you will always be with us.

I Fear NO Evil...." You helped me believe with Faith there is no Fear.
Papo you will always be with me.
I will always pray to Mother Mary, like you used to tell me, "she is Jesus' Mom, she will ask her son Jesus to pray for you". You taught me so much about Life, Love, God, Family, Faith and so much more.
Thank you for all the great times you helped make for the entire family.

Papo, there aren't enough words to explain how i feel. You were a man who would watch out for anyone in need. You never met a stranger. I envy you. You were the best grandpa, someone could have. Papo, a man that was more than a father to me than a grandfather. Papo was a true family man that would take care of you no matter the situation. I can remember from my early childhood all the times that my grandfather would be helping a neighbor of his with various needs they requested. I love you Papo and will miss you. I can't wait until June so that you can walk me across that stage during my graduation. I'll see you when I see you!
