Josephine Price Obituary

Josephine E. Price, 86, formerly of Larksville, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at ManorCare, Kingston.

She was born in Larksville. She was a daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Krouse Adams. She went to the Larksville schools and resided in Larksville her entire life.

She was employed by General Cigar, before having her children. She then worked for the LIU, Kingston, for many years. Lastly, she was a crossing guard for the Larksville and the Wyoming Valley West School Districts for 29 years, a job that she truly loved.

She was a member of St. John's Church, Larksville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles Price; her beloved son, Paul Price, who passed away suddenly in 2007; brothers, John and Raymond Adams.

Surviving are her daughter, Paula Clisham and husband, Joseph, Larksville, grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Clisham and fiance, Phillip Delzeit, Kingston; Joseph F. Clisham Jr., Larksville; two great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Taylor Ann and Autumn Rose Delzeit, Kingston; sisters, Annette Bendick, Larksville; Elizabeth Bednar and husband, Joseph, New Jersey; Marie Daniels, New Jersey, Dolores Staniecki, Weatherly; several nieces and nephews; two great-great-nephews; two great-great-nieces; her two closest nephews, who loved her so dearly, Joseph Bendick, Larksville and his two daughters, Jodi Faulkner and husband, Nick, Sweet Valley; Kassandra Bendick, N.Y.; attorney Michael Bendick wife, Jacqueline and their three daughters, Abigail, Angela and Amelia (her 3 girls), Shavertown.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville. A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. in St. John's Church. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery, Dallas. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Our family would like to thank Manor are for the love and care they gave to Josephine, during the past five years that she resided there. They have become part of Josephine and Paula's family and we love them very dearly. We would also like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the wonderful care they gave to mom at the time of her passing.

Paula & Family,
I am so very sorry to hear of Josie's passing. Its been years since I've left the manor but I still think of her often. She was always so kind and sweet and sunny. :) My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time.

I loved Josie like she was my own mom.Her hugs & kisses were the best !!!! Paula,...I will miss our catch-up sessions of The Walking Dead,...you got me hooked,....you are in my heart & prayers as you have been from day 1.

your mom was a wonderful caring woman, she crossed my daughters for a year and i loved her, my children and i went to her house and had snacks sometimes, i loved talking with her and her husband hearing their stories, god has gotten another angel, my prayers are with you family
