Juanita Miller Obituary

February 28, 2005
Juanita A. Miller, of Pittston, died Monday, February 28, 2005, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia, October 6, 1906, daughter of the late Paige, Sr. and Etta Anderson.
She graduated from Philadelphia High School and graduated from College in Philadelphia.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a clerk typist for Tobyhanna Army Depot.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston, and she attended Unity Church, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of West Pittston. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and St. Vincent De Paul Kitchen, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of Cidar Painters of Wyoming Valley. Juanita was a well-known artist and a member of the Wyoming Valley Art League. Her artwork was displayed in area banks and businesses in the Greater Pittston Area.
She was preceded in death by brother, Paige Anderson, Jr., and sister, Jean Dicastinado.
She is survived by husband, Jewell Miller; daughter, Etta Brown, Willingboro, New Jersey; two grandsons, Paige and Michael; two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:30 from the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston, with funeral services at 10 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston. The Rev. John Major, Rector, will officiate. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mountain View Burial Park, Harding.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be sent to the Salvation Army, Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston, PA 18643.

I will always remember Juanita she would call me "my little Ruthie". She and Jewell were always there for our family occasions, both happy and sad. She was a true volunteer. She was there when ever and where ever she was needed. We will miss you. The Gross Family
